Long Term Health Care
Long Term Health Care refers to the day to day assistance one needs when one has a serious illness or disability and is not able to take care of him/herself. It includes a wide range of services such as:
  • Care Delivered In Home
  • Adult Day Care Centers
  • Assisted Living Facilities
  • Continuing Care Communities
  • Nursing Homes
Custodial Care is also offered. Custodial Care assists individuals with activities of daily living (ADL’s) such as bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, toileting, continence and taking medication.

Medicare, Medicare Supplements and Catastrophic Health Insurance Policies all have very limited coverage for all those needs and they generally require limited care in their facilities and programs. They also specifically exclude custodial care coverage completely. Depending on your level of asset, you may not be even eligible for Medicare or Medicaid.

Long Term Care Insurance is your next best alternative and will help you maintain your independence, provide you with choices, protects you and your family’s assets.
